Hey guys..
Long time no post, I've been kind of MIA due to 2 family deaths in the past week and how emotionally draining my job is. I'm looking at getting my contract shortened because dealing with kids for 10 hours a day is tiring enough and then I come home and have a lot of funeral events to deal with. It's just too stressful to do both and keeping updates current on this blog has just been out of the question.
If they process my contract shortening I'll only be working for two more weeks instead of four which doesn't seem like that much of a shortening but I can't even think about doing two more weeks of it with my family issues.

Anyways, I've finally gotten a lot of my blog sale buys in the mail and I'll probably have pictures up tonight as well as some pictures of an item I got in a swap this week :) And I want to talk about some upcoming MAC and cosmetics show events and releases :)

Blog Sale Please Buy My Makeup!

Hey guys so I've been promising this for a while now and I've finally gotten everything sorted out. I wanted to do it in September but I figure I can just do another sale then and include items that don`t sell in that one...

1) Shipping in Canada to anywhere is very expensive. I cannot quote a price per order but before I invoice you I will go get an exact shipping cost and charge you 50 cents on top of that for packing materials. If you live in the GTA I would prefer to do meet ups to cut shipping costs for you and time for myself to get the quote. I can only do meet ups on weekends (unless you`re making a huge order) because I work 11 hours a day on weekdays and I have NO energy to meet up with you until I have a day off. For meet ups, paypal and cash are accepted. For shipping, paypal only.

2) I will do holds for up to 3 days. On the second day I will remind you via email and from then you have 24 hours to make a payment before I offer it for sale to anyone again. I will not put things on hold more than once per person.

3) I will try to honour priority by comment order, but if you do not respond with other arrangements or pay within 24 hours, I will give it to the next person.

4) Haggling on huge orders is allowed but I feel that the prices are very very very low compared to Ebay, Craigslist, Kijiji and other blog sales. Please be reasonable.

5) I am willing to ship anywhere but please note that as soon as the package leaves my hands, it is not my responsibility that it reaches your hands or that it arrives in the condition it has left in. All of these products are my backups. NONE of them have ever been used more than once. I personally went through each and every product to ensure that it is perfect before I listed it.
I am not running a business here, I’m just selling my backups. No refunds or exchanges will be offered. I will keep all proof of shipping. Canada Post is generally very reliable and anywhere in Canada I can get a large bubble mailer and fill it up with insurance up to $1000 for a flat fee of $10 with padded envelope included. Within Canada for large orders, I recommend this.
If you need your package marked as a gift with a value of under $20 I will do this because after that value in Canada we are gouged taxes upon arrival of items and I want you to get the lowest possible shipping price.

OKAY I think that's about it. If you have any questions, comment below with the items you want, your paypal address and your email I can reach you at and I will answer as soon as I can. Shop away and have fun!

Nail Polish Haul

Hey Lovely Ladies!
I'm so happy that Spain won the world cup, let me just get that out of the way :D

So during half time I went to Pharma Plus and they are, once again having the $2 off OPI coupon so I picked up 3 holiday colours because they were, with the coupon, just under 4 bucks each.

I picked up:
Cosy Red Rosey
Mulberry Magic
It's Gold Outside

They're all really lovely colours and I'm really happy that I was able to pick them up for such a good price :) But unfortunately I had to deal with the cashier. She was just ANALYSING the bottles and didn't wanna give me the discount. The coupon clearly says that it's $2 off Nicole by OPI and Sally Hansen Nail polishes. She actually like paged her manager down even though the big plastic container of the holiday polishes had the promotional discount sticker on it over the original price. So a little trip to Pharma wound up taking FOREVER when I knew I was right and I told her that the box had the sticker on it and I had to get back to the game /:

ANYWAYS! That's all for now before the busy work week I have coming up..
But I'm expecting a blog sale package in the mail,
an Echeque for another blog sale is supposed to clear on Tuesday
so I might be receiving that package as well before the weekend
(probably not though, it'll be a midweek post next week)
and I'm mailing out my half of a swap package tomorrow evening
so next week I should be getting her end :)

A Swap And A Saturday Shopping Trip

Hey guys
So I'm new to this whole swapping thing but I just got my package from my first ever swap with this girl Summer on Friday :)
So the package contained:
Pur Minerals Bronzer
Warm Vanilla Shower Gel- Bath & Body Works
Posie Tint Sample- Benefit

So that was nice :)

And today I went on a shopping trip to Yorkdale Mall because I had been wanting Jazzed Lipstick from MAC and I decided to go there with a "if it's still in stock it's meant to be" mentality and of course it wasn't there :(
So I was kinda bummed but I have a lot of bright coraly lipsticks so I'll deal with it I guess :P

But I did take advantage of the Old Navy $1 flip flop sale
I picked up a pair in kiwi green and orange for myself and the pink and flowered pairs for two girls at my work :)

And I went to Orfus Road aswell to pick up a cheap dress for my work's end-of-the-summer get together. If you live in Toronto and you havem't gone to the warehouses at Orfus Road, you need to go. It's amazing and soo cheap.
I picked up this Urban Behaviour dress for $7.50 (originally $40) and I really like it because it's super sexy but classic at the same time.

My Foundation Woes

My name is Katie.
I have too many foundations.
Let me tell you why.

My skin tans a lot.
I work outside.
It's not a good situation for staying one shade over the summer.

My start of the summer shade (Late june): NC35
my current shade (perfect match): NC 45

So in the span of about 2 weeks I've pretty much changed my skin colour completely

Please note that I wear SPF 85 everyday and reapply every 3 hours and SPF 20 in foundation because I'm paranoid of premature aging.. my skin just tans very deeply very fast.

So this is the part where I show you my foundation collection:

L to R: Black Radiance Foundation in Caramel Souffle, Revlon Colorstay actives in 02 Buff, 03 Sand Beige,07 Golden Beige, Revlon Colorstay in True Beige, Revlon Photoready in 008 Golden Beige, 010 Caramel, PURE by Carlo di Roma Long Lasting Makeup in 5, Pure By Carlo di Roma Adaptive Makeup in Golden Sand, Beige

L to R: Smashbox Backdrop Cooling Tint in 2, Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift Foundation in 4, Sample of the same, Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in Intensity 1.0

L to R: Wet n Wild Tinted Moisturizer in Tan, Wet n Wild Ultimate Match Foundation in Sand, Rimmel Renew & Lift Foundation in Sand, Rimmel Lasting Finish in 301 Warm Honey, Almay Pyre Blends SPF 20 in Beige, Almay Pure Blends in Beige, Quo Skincredible in Buff Beige

L to R: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Medium 4 Honey Beige, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse in Medium 2.5 Natural Beige, Medium 4 Honey Beige, Maybelline Age rewind in Pure Beige, Honey Beige, Maybelline Pure Makeup in Medium 2 Pure Beige

L to R: L'oreal HIP Flawless Liquid Makeup in 802 Sand, L'oreal Feel Naturale inGolden Beige, Covergirl simply Ageless foundation in 260, Boots No 7 Intelligent Balance Foundation in 40 Suede, Boots No7 True Identity Foundation in 03 Medium, Boots No 7 Lifting and Firming Foundation in Walnot, Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Foundation in 60 Natural Beige

They all look so intimidating all lined up like this...

June Favourites :)

Hey guys!
So this is my first Favourites post! I'll include pictures and price estimates along with reasons that I'm loving each product :)

1) L'oreal Feel Naturale Light Softening Blush in Charmed Peach 288 (purchased for around $2 in a blog sale retails for $8)
I love peach blushes and I use this one EVERY DAY. I love them way my cheeks feel when I put this on. It adds a velvety finish to my cheeks and I feel doesnt sink into my massive pores on my cheeks like NARS blushes do.

2) Quo total perfection mineral powder in Tan/ Transluscent (purchased for $5 each retails of around $15- $20)
I'm not too picky about my powders because I find that, if something is a good colour match, I'll like the products because most formulas perform pretty well on my skin. I like how this has the cushion puff top which means that it saves room in my makeup bag because I don't need to bring a powder brush. These were a good price and a picked up 4 in Tan and 1 transluscent because of the very low sale price :) I'm about half done my one in Tan and it's part of my project 10 pan and one or two of the unused backups in Tan will most likely appear on my blog sale in September just because I wanna possibily make the switch to MAC MSFN rather than other powders :)
Oh and I use mineral foundations as setting powders which is probably horrible or something but I don't find a difference between setting powders and powder foundation and the foundations provide extra coverage which is a-okay in my books.

3) Red Earth Hollywood Shine Premium Lipgloss is Honey Moon (received free, retails for around 10- 15 I believe? It is no longer sold in Canada as of Summer 2009)
Okay so the story behind getting this lipgloss for free: I went to Shoppers in February with my boyfriend at the time and saw that they still had some Red Earth stuff so long after it being discontinued in Canada for pretty good prices so I picked up a coloured mascara for like $3, two lipsticks (one is a dupe for Bubbles by MAC and the other is a dark taupey brown) for arounf $3 each and the lipgloss. When I'm paying for the stuff, the cashier successfully scans all of the items except the lipgloss. There was a problem with the barcode or something. I tell him that I think the sticker on the table right outside the store might have the barcode and I could go get it for him and he says "well my rule is, if it doesn't have a price it's free" which was super nice of him even if it only saved me a couple bucks. ANYWAYS. I love the colour of this gloss. It's a cool toned baby pink and the formulation isn't sticky at all :) This is also part of my project 10 pan

4)NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink ($4)
I just bought this I think either at the beginning of June or end of May because I had read so many reviews on makeupalley and I like to use creme blushes as bases for my powder blushes because I find that the colour just magically disappears with me with powder blushes in a matter of 45 minutes to 2 hours and bases help them stay for around 4 to 5 hours on me :) It's a lovely peach colour and it's also nice as a lipcolor applied over lipbalm and under a gloss for the low retail price, I would recommend it to anyone who likes creme blushes or who has issues with powder blushes staying power when used alone.

5)EOS Lipbalm in Vanilla (Purchased for $1, retails for around $4 and is not widely found in Canada yet)
So I found this guy at my HG shoopers for $1 on clearance I suppose because the packaging had some water damage around the sides. But the product itself is great and I love how thick the balm itself is. It's really good when I'm on the go because it just takes one swipe and I've covered both lips. The scent is lovely aswell. Light and not overpowering but still pleasant.

6)Sally Hansen natural beauty by Carmindy Ultra Soothing Lip Tint in Guava (Purchased for $2 retails for around $6 and is only sold in the US by major retailers)
I purchased this and a bunch of other SH by Carmindy products at my local Dollarama for very cheap and the products are good quality. I like the sheer red colour I get with this and it has a strange consistency that I like.. it's more of a jely than a gloss.

7) Benefit Bad Gal Smoldering black Eye Pencil (I'm about 90% sure mine is a fake, purchased in ebay lot for around $5 for the pencil, authentic retails for $20)
Since I've been so busy at work, I like to use this pencil all over my lid and then blend out and use a brow highlight to do a 2 minute smokey eye to go from work to staff event or evening dinner in the summer because it's so fast and can easily fit in my makeup bag rather than have an eyeliner, 2 or 3 shadows and a bunch of brushes. This is very very creamy and requires a base underneath to prevent creasing.

8) MAC Plush Lash Mascara in Black (purchased from trusted ebay seller in lot, value per item around $3, retails for $15.50)
I really like this mascara for everyday because it has a lot of volume and a good amount of length to it without clumping. Very good for the price but I'm not sure if I would repurchase at $16 plus taxes.

9) Fresh Firebird Mascara (purchased in a lot on craigslist from makeup artist editing her kit for a value of about $2 per item, mine is sample sized, full size retails for $26)
I love love love this mascara for length. It's actually amazing. No clumping. Beautifully seperates. I use it with a volumizing mascara after for the false lash look when I'm going out.

10) Boots No7 Maximum Volume Waterproof Mascara in Black (purchased for $3, retails for around $10?)
I need this mascara for work but it's so much more than a waterproof mascara. It adds amazing volume and length which holds up through 6 hours of teaching a day. I just wouldn't use this after work because I feel like waterproof mascara is too harsh for everyday use on my lashes :)

Finishing Products!

My stash is quickly getting out of hand and I can see myself already outgrowing the storage system I purchased in January :(
Soooo I decided to do a "project 10 pan" with around 20 items that I'm VERY close to finishing before I purchase anything else Beauty Related (this of course excludes the blog sale stuff that I have coming in the mail because it's already been purchased)
I've put all the stuff in my Coach sandals shoe box so that I can use it on heavy rotation. I hope to be done all/most of these by the end of the summer but I don't know if I could go on a no- buy for the next two months :(
I suppose it would be good timing because right when I expect to finish the products, the next MAC warehouse sale is going to be going on and I can haul again.
For me, I really need to downsize my stash but I hate letting go of my stuff :(
I currently have a drawer of backups of stuff I know that I'll never finish so if I can keep up this blogging business up so I'm planning a big blog sale because I really wanna get rid of a lot of my stash :)

Big Collective Haul and Update :)

So I've been really busy with work lately so I haven't had time to do a regular haul and update so I'll do this in order I guess :)

My mom came back from Chicago and got myself and my younger sister two identical pairs of these coach sandals. I love the suede flower!

I went to Sally's before my life gets even busier but they didn't have the mint julep mask, only the scrub and a variety of other queen helene masks /:
So I got a bunch of the baked eyeshadows, one mini nail polish and a Fingerpaints nail colour in Curator's Coral
I also went to the local dollar store in that area and purchased 2 LA Colors lipglosses and 2 unknown brand ones aswell as a waterproof mascara.
I also got two NYC lip paints from a Perfurmery that I love :)
All of that together was $30 :) Pretty good deals all around

When I was out doing my Back 2 Mac I went to VS Pink and Lasenza aswell so I picked up some stuff at both stores and the beauty related products I got were at Lasenza 10for $10 and I picke dup 2 beauty rush lipglosses, 5 loose eyeshadows and 3 cream and loose shadow duos. I also had a GC to Sephora and picked up the mini Benefit primer kit which contains:

1)Mini Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in RSVP (I already have two of these mini ones in RSVP, I'll probably be having a blog sale soon when I have the time to get more followers :) )
2) Mini Stay Don't Stray Primer
3) Mini Erase Paste Concealer in 2 Medium (I have the full size in 3 Deep but they are very similar and Medium will be nice for winter :) )

I also picked up a couple things before work while I was waiting for the bus because I passed some time in Shoppers. The foundations were 5 bucks each and the lipstick and mascara were 3 bucks each
1) Boots No 7 True Identity Foundation in Medium
2) Boots No 7 Lifting and Firming Foundation in Walnut
3) Boots No 7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation in Suede
4) Boots No 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Gay Geranium
5) Boots No 7 Maximum Volume waterproof mascara (I work at a pool I NEED at least one decent WP mascara)

Today I picked up a pair of interesting tweezers for which the proceeds of the sales go towards Breast Cancer Research and two NYC lipsticks in Retro Red (good dupe for Russian Red) and Ruby because they were .99 cents each and I like the formulation.
